Description

 The program “NOISEAWARE” (Research Committee, Democritus University of Thrace, KE 81346) is a research activity within the framework of the European awareness campaign ‘International Noise Awareness Day’ for the avoidance, prevention and limitation of the harmful effects of noise exposure in the environment.

The aims of the program are:

  •  the development of original educational material
  • piloting in state schools
  •  briefing of large groups of teachers on the effects of noise to health

The program was developed as a collaboration of researchers from various Greek educational institutions and scientific fields.
