The Museum Education and Research Laboratory (MERLab) is one of the 5 Laboratories of the Department of Early Childhood Education (DECE) at the University of Thessaly.
MERLab’s work centers on teaching and research at Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral Studies level in the fields of Museology, Museum Education, History and Art Education.

MERLab’s Aims:
•    Development of cutting-edge research projects in the fields of Museology, Museum Education, History and Art Education.
•    Design and implementation of experimental educational projects in a variety of cultural centers and educational spaces.
•    Collaboration with the International Council of Museums, with museums, other cultural organizations, archaeological and historical institutions, libraries, archives, and educational communities.
•    Organization of conferences, symposiums, seminars and other related activities.
•    Publication of an international online journal.
•    Collection and dissemination of relevant original research, educational projects and educational material.
