Συνοριακά καθεστώτα: Πολιτικές και πολιτισμικές διαστάσεις της προσφυγικής κρίσης στην περίπτωση της Χίου 2015-16

The main aim of this project is to explore the political and cultural aspects of the Border Regime of Chios. In other words, the examination of the ways in which the tensions and stakes that arose during the refugee crisis were expressed in discourse and practice. Therefore, in the light of the national and European governance of the refugee crisis, we will focus on the shift from solidarity to xenophobia in Chios island during the period from June 2015 to December 2016. In order to achieve this objective, we will adopt a mixed methodology that combines field research with discourse analysis to highlight the multiple aspects of these changes.
