Course description

The objectives of this course for students are to recognise, through the use of new technologies, the structure as well as the forms of European and Hellenic artworks, by placing the emphasis on paintings, so that they are able to recognise and compare them with the structure and form of the children’s artworks. Study of the structure and form of European and Hellenic artworks with the use of specialised software and specific WebPages. Analysis, design and creation of paintings by the students using specialised software and specialised websites. Creation of a personal art library and material enrichment through specialised websites. Comparison, in terms of structure and form, of European and Hellenic artworks with children's paintings

Learning outcomes

The aim of this course is to familiarise students with how to use the new technologies, the structure and morphological features of both European and Greek Visual Art, placing more emphasis on Art masterpieces. In this way, they will be able to distinguish such masterpieces in the long run as well as to have flexibility in comparing them to the structure and morphological features of children's works of Visual Art.

Assessment

At the end of the semester, the official evaluation of the cognitive specialisation/subject involves oral examinations and presentation of the guided compulsory written essay.
