Tsevreni Irida
Irida Tsevreni is an Associate Professor in Environmental Education at the Department of Early Childhood Education of the University of Thessaly. She has a BSc on “Environment” from the Department of Environment, University of the Aegean. She holds an MSc in “Environment and Development” and a PhD on children’s participation in urban planning and environmental care from the National Technical University of Athens. Her postdoctoral research at the National Technical University of Athens included the participatory design of creative play environments with children with special educational needs. She has designed and implemented numerous environmental education programmes for all ages. Her research interests include environmental education, critical pedagogy of place, children’s participation, holistic education, human-nature relationship and ecophenomenology.
