Academic Writing I

Course description

The purpose of the tutorial course is, with the successful completion of the course, the students to acquire basic knowledge and skills of the modern Greek language and to become familiar with the production of written language, to be able to correctly structure simple scientific and more specific texts, composing the integrated in terms of syntax, structure, content, vocabulary, documentation. Also, to be able to compile a complete scientific work / article / study to be published respecting basic specifications and requirements (contents, preface, introduction, bibliography, appendix, indexes, etc.).

Learning outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students are expected to accomplish the:

• Knowledge and utilization of bibliographic systems
• Knowledge of search and proper utilization of bibliographic sources
• Understanding and knowledge of sections of the scientific text
• Ability to prepare integrated scientific works
