In the European program four countries and totally seven organizations participate. According to the “Europe 2020” strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive development, the EUROVOTERS project aims to develop skills and competencies of young people aged 14-18 as critical voters, that will positively use their attribute in building a Europe of sustainable development and equality. 

This project aims to enhance all the critical voting skills and abilities of all young people (indigenous, minority, immigrants and refugees) in order to deepen their sense of belonging to a common European space, enabling them to act as voters and agents of change for a Europe that successfully and sustainably rises to the challenges (political, social, economic, environmental, etc.) - in EU, national, regional and local level. 

In order to support young people aged 14-18 in acquiring and developing basic skills and competencies in critical voting literacy, the EUROVOTERS project will support young people of this age to develop their skills and competencies in 3 areas. More specifically, this project aims to support young people to develop skills and competencies for: (1) media and news literacy (2) socio-emotional education and (3) social-justice literacy.
