Course description

This course is a continuation of “Social Psychology I” It continues on the overview of the basic contents of social psychology. More specifically, the main topics that are presented concern groups (intra- and intergroup provesses), but also topics related to social relations and behaviours are presented.

Learning outcomes:

After the successful completion of this course students will:

  • have basic knowledge (basic theories and important research studies) of social psychology in the topics of intragroup and intergroup processes, but also in social relations and behaviours.
  • be able to understand research methods of social psychology.
  • be able to connect research with theory.
  • be able to understand relevant knowledge in order to apply it in new contexts.
  • be able to use relevant knowledge in the formulation of judgments and in the solution of relevant issues.

Assessment

Student evaluation is accomplished with a written exam at the end of the semester (note: the duration of examination is determined by the instructor).

The basic assessment criterion is the critical comprehension of the course topics.

During the exam access to books or other material is free.
