Aikaterini Michalopoulou is a Professor at the Department of Preschool Education 
of the University of Thessaly, in Greece. She has done her undergraduate studies at
the Aristotle University of Thessalonikiand her Ph.D. studies at the University of
Human Studies of Strasbourg (France). Since 1998 she has taught courses related to
Pedagogy, Curriculum,Creativity, Educational Programs, in many under- and
postgraduate programs.
Her research interests concern the pre-school child and the methodology of the
activities in the kindergarten, the curriculum,
the representations of young children,
the role of the teacher. She has published the following books:

Understanding of the Environment in Preschool and Early School Years (2008,
Kastaniotis Press, in collaboration with others), and Oral Discourse in Preschool

(2009, Pedio). He has also written papers in
international and Greek scientific journals and in collectivevolumes.
