Curriculum Vitae: 

Irene Nakou is Professor in Museum and History Education at the University of Thessaly, Department of Early Childhood Education.  Since 2009 she has been Head of the Museum Education and Research Laboratory, and is co-editor of the online international journal Museumedu.

She has a Bachelor’s degree in History-Archaeology and a degree in English Literature from the University of Athens. She has a Ph.D. in Museum and History Education from the Institute of Education, University of London. Her research interests focus on Museum Education, History Education and on Material Culture Theory. She is author of articles in Greek and international journals and of three books on museum and history education, and co-editor of three collective books. She is also the author of many educational books and co-editor of educational videos.
